COR blimey! What a week it was. First we read that illegal immigrants have been given jobs even in security and asylum removals are running at their lowest for five years.
Then the Government tell us 25m people have had their personal details mislaid by HM Revenue and Customs.
Are these nitwits really up to the task of protecting the citizens of this country?
I think not. Between the Government and the Left-wing do-gooders I don’t think they’ll be happy until the UK is on its knees, which I don’t think will be long.
Also, may I say that I totally agree with Stephen K Makins (Mailbag, November 21) that the only time there will be peace on earth is when all humans are wiped out, because let’s face it we are not a happy breed, are we? But chin up everyone, comedy month is coming, just go and watch sad folk charging around town to spend as much as they can for Christmas. Believe me it’ll make you smile. That’s the one thing we all need at the moment – smiles.

Whitehall farce?
YEARS ago we had a famous pair of comedians, namely Abbott and Costello, more recently came Morecambe and Wise and then the Two Ronnies.
Now another pair have emerged; Darling and Brown. Unfortunately this pair are ruining, sorry, running the country, and it is no laughing matter. When John Reid took over at the Home Office he declared it “not fit for purpose”. This applies to the present government as a whole.
