Known to millions for her general fiction including Chocolat, Joanne Harris, of Almondbury, will be visiting Oldham Library to talk about her work and her latest novel, The Gospel of Loki.

The book is a powerful fantasy novel, using Joanne’s passion and her life-long obsession with Norse mythology.

The event has been organised by Oldham Council Libraries.

Joanne is famous for titles such as Blackberry Wine, Five Quarters of the Orange, Coastliners and The Lollipop Shoes.

This will be a great opportunity to meet a world-famous author whose books have won a number of British and international awards and are now published in more than 40 countries.

Joanne will also be signing books at the event which takes place on Tuesday, February 25.

The visit is part of Literary Bites, a series of events in the Naked Bean Cafe at Oldham Library.

Tickets are £5 and include a meal and a regular drink.

Each event will take place from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.
