CHILDREN facing Christmas in hospital were given a boost by supermarket staff.

Staff at Sainsbury’s Market Street store decided to donate selection boxes to poorly youngers.

They presented 50 boxes to Children’s Ward 18 at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

Store manager Mick Hepworth said: “At Sainsbury’s Market Street we try to get as involved in our local community as much as possible.

“We help out as much as we can with worthy causes.

“Christmas is a special time and hopefully our donation will help.”
