IN an age when young people are often criticised for their behaviour, it is nice to read about Moldgreen teenager Chris Jones.

Chris has, over the last few years, found and returned dozens of lost and stolen items to their owners.

He has autism and is fanatical about wild life. And it’s been while he indulges in his passion that he stumbles upon discarded purses.

Only last week an 80-year-old mugging victim was surprised when she got a call to say her purse had been found by Chris.

Sadly, the valuable content is often stolen and the thieves throw unwanted items like bus passes and photographs into bushes.

But with the help of his dad Simon, Chris sets about tracing the owners and returning their stolen or lost goods.

He doesn’t do it because he expects a reward, he does it simply because it’s the right thing to do.
