Elland
A Christmas fair takes place on Elland tomorrow, Wednesday, November 12, from 11am until 7pm. There will be stalls to buy Christmas goodies and details about what’s on in the town. Admission is free and it takes place at Bertie’s Banqueting Rooms, Brook Street.
Elland Silver Band’s Annual Christmas concert on Saturday December 8 at All Saints Church, Savile Road, Elland is a complete sell out. Tickets are no longer available.
Rastrick
Join a Heritage Walk at Rastrick Library. A short talk in the library by David Nortcliffe covers aspects of Rastrick’s history and is followed by a circular walk looking at the story of the town over seven centuries, before finishing back at the library where displays and exhibitions take place. It takes place on Saturday, November 17, from 1.30pm until around 4pm. Admission is £3 and it’s organised by Calderdale Heritage Walks.
Stainland
The Greetland and Stainland ward forum takes place at St Andrew’s Church, Stainland on Thursday, November 15. It starts at 6.30pm and on the agenda are the Neighbourhood Resolution Panels, Goldfields Asset Transfer and an update from the local police and councillors.
Southowram
Southowram Horticultural and Allotments Society holds its Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, November 28, at 8pm at the New Street Centre, Southowram. All members and prospective members are invited to attend.
Calderdale
RSPCA Halifax, Huddersfield and District Branch holds its Christmas Festivities on Saturday, November 17 from 10.30am at the Maurice Jagger Centre, Winding Road, Halifax
