BRIGHOUSE: Sgt Dean Maddocks has been out on patrol with Clr Colin Stout in the Brighouse area. They have been looking at parking issues, anti-social behaviour hot spots and speaking with youths using the skate park and other facilities in Wellholme Park.
BRIGHOUSE: Special Constable Mohammed Asghar was on hand on Saturday evening when he spotted two men on Halifax Road carrying pint glasses of beer. As he approached them they smashed the glasses and ran. He called for back up and located the males in the beer garden of a public house on Elland Road, Brighouse and they were subsequently arrested for being drunk and disorderly. Each was given a fine for their behaviour.
HIPPERHOLME: Police have stepped up patrols around the town’s park and other areas where anti-social behaviour has been reported on previous weekends.
LOWER VALLEY: A 35-year-old woman from the Manchester area has been arrested for a series of distraction thefts and burglaries in the Calderdale area, including Hipperholme, Bailiff Bridge and Brighouse. She has been questioned and released on police bail.
