BARKISLAND: Honesty is the best policy and the year three children at Barkisland Primary School agree. They welcomed PCSOs Judith Wood and George Serban to the school to learn the importance of telling the truth as part of a topic they were working on. The children also learnt more about the police work and sounded the siren on the cop car.
HIPPERHOLME: PC Nick Bamforth, the Community Beat Officer for the Hipperholme and Lightcliffe area was asked to switch on the Christmas tree lights at Hipperholme. After the switch on, Nick and his family, joined residents, shopkeepers and local councillors at Christ Church, Hipperholme for Christmas carols and refreshments. Tea and coffee was provided by Churches Together in Hipperholme and Lightcliffe.
