THE death of talented actress Nikki Sam-Addae is a most terrible tragedy.
The 23-year-old found life unbearable after her fiance, Luke Evans, died from a brain tumour.
An inquest in Huddersfield heard that she had taken her own life after becoming overwhelmed by grief.
She sounded like a wonderful person – outgoing, bubbly and exceptionally talented, having graduated from university with a first-class degree.
It is just so incredibly sad that she could not have just kept going – perhaps in time she would have found life worth living again.
There is help out there with bereavement charities and organisations like the Samaritans. Even if you can’t face talking to your family about overwhelming problems, then at least speak to someone else to try to ease the burden. They may just help you to see a way forward when all seems lost.
A charity fund has now been set up in Luke and Nikki’s names to help other young actors and actresses.
A fitting tribute which means their memory will live on in others.
