Well done to the allotment growers of the once neglected site in Lockwood that is now thriving once more.
It is down to the sheer hard work of a few staunch volunteers at the Taylor Hill Road site and money from Grassroots Grants along with help by Kirklees Council that have turned the once badly-neglected site around.
All 28 plots are now being cultivated where before only six were in use and there is now a waiting list.
Proof indeed that with a lot of effort along with grants cash and a supportive council, the impossible can be made very possible.
A great example of teamwork.
