I REGULARLY pass through Holmfirth at around 6am on my way to work in Manchester.
Last week I was initially quite shocked to see two men, a woman and two young children moving bits of blue cable and Christmas motifs while eating what was apparently a bacon buttie for breakfast, shivering in the November cold.
Intrigued, I stopped my car and asked what they were doing.
The little boy shouted across the road: “My mum organises the Christmas lights and we’re helping her.” Does anyone know who this woman is who drags her kids out of bed at that time in a morning to do such a grotty job?
Please let me know as I would like to send her a bunch of flowers – and a scarf!
