TOP bands will perform in Brighouse this weekend.

The annual Brighouse Festival of Brass takes place on Saturday and Sunday.

This year is the 14th March and Hymn Tune Contest takes place around Thornton Square in Brighouse and attracts crowds of thousands from 1pm on Sunday.

On Saturday evening a Gala Contest takes place with the popular Boobs and Brass at Brighouse’s Central Methodist Church at 7.30pm.

The all-ladies band will also march along Bethel Street at around 1.30pm on Sunday, after the Youth Bands have opened proceedings at 1pm.

They will collect on their way for their Breast Cancer Charity.
