RUGBY players have been going all the way to raise cash for charity and their club.

Nine players from Meltham All Blacks got their kit off for a 2013 calendar to raise money for the club and the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.

Players dropping their shorts for the camera were centre Ben Moorhouse, prop forward Paul Carmody, stand-off Scott Quarmby, hooker Matty Carter, second row Matt Worrall, winger Rob Trainer, centre Lewis Heeley, winger Nathan Richardson and centre Cameron Field.

Some of the players worked as scantily clad waiters at the club’s annual ladies’ evening at Meltham Liberal Club on Thursday, December 6.

The players also performed a Full Monty routine, choreographed by Lisa Worrall.

Meltham All Blacks treasurer Michelle Moorhouse said: “Quite a few of them couldn’t wait to get on the calendar.

“The club has a naked run at the end of the season for anyone that hasn’t scored a try so some of the players are used to it.

“Some of them didn’t want to be on the calendar and didn’t want to do the Full Monty, but it was hardly like we needed to force anyone!”

Ms Moorhouse added: “The atmosphere at the ladies’ night was fantastic.”

The calendars, priced £5, are available from the club or by calling Michelle on 07504 046541.
