Memebers of the current tour of Swan Lake put dance students through their paces.

Two dancers from Matthew Bourne’s production visited Huddersfield New College.

The ballet was recently staged at Bradford’s Alhambra Theatre.

Paul and Freya from the company came to the college to deliver a three hour workshop to BTEC dance students.

The energetic session involved students across both year groups and took place in the college’s New Theatre.

After an extensive warm-up, the dancers were then taught routines from the award-winning show.

The students then used what they had been taught to come up with their own routines.

Bourne’s modern re-interpretation of Swan Lake has collected over 30 international theatre awards, including three Tony Awards.
