Dozens of people dug deep in their pockets when they attended a Bank Holiday jamboree at the Red and Green Club, Milnsbridge to raise money for Palestinians in need.

Lively music, food, stalls and a photographic exhibition encouraged visitors to donate over £1,000, along with talks and the screening of a documentary shot inside a Palestinian refugee camp.

The money was used to help fund several humanitarian charity projects for those most in need, including Medical Aid for Palestinians, which helps citizens injured in the cross fire of continued fighting in the area and those with other conditions who would otherwise struggle to get treatment.

Donations were also granted for an education project for women.
