Fine the parkers then use the money to pay for the gritters, so we can pay less council tax.

Just tow the cars away which are illegally parked and let the gritters through. That will teach the bad parking offenders a lesson, and the people who do things correctly will not have to suffer for the actions of the few.

This is shocking! I've been living at my current address for nearly four years now, and my road is accessible enough for a bus with cars parked either side but I've yet to see a single gritter. I agree though that if they aren't going to keep the roads good enough we should pay less tax
