A new era has begun in the life of Colne Valley Probus Club with the welcoming of its new president.
Esteemed president Ray Nichols MBE stood down from his post to let new president, Peter Hanson, take the stage at the group’s annual general meeting at Broad Oak Bowling Club.
Peter was joined by his new vice president, Mike Moores, while treasurer is J Hayes and secretary L A Marchington.
Members were treated to a video presentation of the visit made by the group to the Safe Anchor Trust in Mirfield in August and a buffet, alongside watching the presidential induction.
The club made a historic move to Linthwaite in 2012, after 12 years of being based in Salendine Nook’s YMCA on Laund Road due to the amount it cost to run the club there.
The Probus club’s 30 members meet from 10.30am to midday on the last Thursday of each month.
