EMBROIDERERS are showing off their work at Colne Valley Museum this summer.

The Golcar venue is hosting a display of goldwork, blackwork, cross-stitch, stump work, needle lace and patchwork.

The Nimble Fingers exhibition has been put together by the Huddersfield branch of the Embroiderers’ Guild.

Sheila Osborn is a member of the group, which meets at Kirkheaton Parish Hall each month.

She said: “We do all sorts of projects requiring many different kinds of skills and we share these skills amongst the group members if anyone wants to learn a particular type of stitch.

“It’s a very friendly group and we often have a speaker – I really look forward to going.”

The Nimble Fingers exhibition is open from 2 to 5pm every weekend until the end of July. Admission is free.
