REGARDING your report about Holmfirth’s Christmas lights still being up, you couldn’t make it up could you? If the volunteers aren’t there to take them down, as it said in the paper, and it is too expensive to do it, then why not just take them down and leave them down. If there isn’t enough interest in doing it then let’s not bother.
It most certainly looks pretty stupid to have them there all year and does nothing for the reputation of Holmfirth – at least nothing positive!
