More and more people are strong advocates of cycling and with the success of Bradley Wiggins in the Tour de France, the race heading our way in 2014 and our local Olympic gold hero Ed Clancy, interest in cycling around here has probably never been stronger.

With petrol prices at astronomical levels coupled with the huge costs of owning a car from tax to repairs to depreciation then cycling seems to be an increasingly attractive option, especially with all the health benefits too.

Shame we live in such a hilly area. The views are great but it sure is tough on the legs.
