OH, how pathetic it was to read that Jason Somebody – the Conservative candidate for some constituency – is seeking cheap publicity by attacking the Archbishop of Canterbury for his unfortunate references to English and Islamic law (Mailbag February 11). The latter may have made a poor, misguided judgement, but the former now displays an opportunist creepism and the sooner we have a better, more adult, intelligent candidate the better.
