Spring can be a season of changes.
There is still a lot of very cold air in the Arctic but to the south the heat is starting to return. So wind direction becomes critical to the type of weather and temperatures we get. It can also change rapidly from one day to the next. It looks like next week will be mostly dry and settled as high pressure settles over Scandinavia so the wind will be easterly. Now had this been a month or two ago it would have been a much different story with bitter cold with lots of snow showers. At this time of the year, however, it will feel cold in the breeze but the really severe weather will hold off, at least for next week. Now as we head towards the following week and Mothering Sunday on April 3 it could turn much colder with snow showers from the north. I will keep an eye on this for you in the weeks ahead.
