These stunning pictures  are the work of skip lorry  driver Nick Lawton.

Car enthusiast Nick, 41, of  Marsden, always has his eyes  open for a photogenic scene as  he drives around Huddersfield  every day.

He makes a mental note of  these locations then returns at  the weekend with his trusty  Nikon DSLR camera.

“I have been into  photography for 10 or 15 years  now,” said Nick. “I go to a lot of  car shows and I was always  taking pictures of cars. I’m a bit  of a petrolhead!

“People who saw my  photographs said I had a bit of  an eye for it so I just kept on  snapping.”

Nick, who works for a skip  hire firm in Slaithwaite, posts  his pictures on social media  and has quite a fan club in and  around the Colne Valley.

His ambition is to become a  professional photographer and  he has been asked several  times to put his work in an  exhibition.

“I am just so busy at work I  don’t get the time,” said Nick.  “But I need to get my finger out  and get organised.”

Apart from his camera, Nick’s  pride and joy is his Volkswagen  Golf R32 which he enters in  shows.

He has now bought himself  an old 4x4 vehicle so he can get  himself and his camera out to  the wilder parts of the moors.
