Students at Royds Hall High School staged their own “Pedal 4 Pounds” event to support Huddersfield Town.

Initially the aim was to get a group of staff involved in the event but, it was decided to make it a whole school event and community challenge with the focus on getting as many people involved as possible.

Andy Booth and Ann Hough, from the club, came into school to start the event with students.

Organisers hope that next year they can develop the event further across schools in Kirklees with a focus on getting as many people involved in a fun event whilst raising money for a great cause at the same time.

Town chairman Dean Hoyle was at school to receive part of the proceeds for the appeal, which supports the work of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Club Academy.
