Youngsters at a Dewsbury school celebrated the end of term in style – by drenching two teachers.

Students at Westborough High School stuck teachers Karen Leaney and Leah Williams in the stocks and gave them a real soaking.

The splashing time was all in fun as the school welcomed in the summer holidays with an end-of-term fair for family, friends and neighbours.

Some students also braved the stocks while others took part in various arts, crafts and games.

There were also stalls, activities and food and drink.

School co-ordinator Gayna Goalby said the fair was a big success and added: “It’s the first time we have held an end-of-term fair but it was well worth all the hard work. It’s great to bring everyone together.”

The fair was also attended by sporting mascots Terry the Terrier from Huddersfield Town and Roger the Ram, from Dewsbury Rams RLFC.
