PUPILS got a taste of paralympic sport with a top wheelchair basketball coach.

Youngsters at Scissett Middle School got the chance to sit in specially adapted wheelchairs used by elite players.

With the help of Sheffield Steelers wheelchair basketball coach, Adrian Kennedy, they learned how to use them and eventually participated in some games.

The session was arranged by head of PE Justin Hampson with the help of pupil Georgina Waft, 11, who suffers from cerebral palsy.

Georgina plays for the South Yorkshire club and recently represented her county at the National Junior Championships.
