The darts player they call Scotty 2 Hotty lived up to his nickname by blazing a trail to the BDO world title last night in sensational style.
Scott, the 35-year-old who plays for two Huddersfield pub teams, blitzed opponent Tony O’Shea 7-1 in front of a packed and raucous crowd at the Lakeside club in Surrey.
He sank to his knees in delight as his final dart landed in double 16 to clinch the title – and a £100,000 cheque.
Scott, of Fixby, said: “I’m going to enjoy the night and a few beers.”
