St George’s Church, Brockholes, had a flaming good time with a dragon parade to celebrate the church’s 150th anniversary.
The parade followed a special service for the 150th anniversary of the church’s consecration on April 28.
The service, at the church, was led by Bishop of Wakefield, the Rt Rev Stephen Platten, and was followed by a dragon-themed parade through the village in honour of St George.
Celebrations included a performance from the award-winning Hade Edge Junior Band.
The church held a flower festival, maypole dance and concert with The Bluebird Singers last month, as part of the church’s 150th anniversary celebrations.
