A TALENTED young singer from Fartown has beaten rivals for a coveted place in the Teen Star regional finals.
Fourteen-year-old Shanta Pinnock, wowed judges at a recent audition and has now secured a place in the next stage of the competition.
TeenStar is a national teenage talent competition which searches for singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists of all genres who perform either covers or original material.
Shanta, a pupil at Rastrick High School, will now take part in a live regional final and join the head-to-head battle performing in front of a packed audience.
If successful, Shanta will go through to the national final at London’s O2 arena.
The competition, is being brought by Future Music who produce Open Mic UK competitions.
