CADETS braved cold conditions for an action-packed weekend of training.

The members of Thongsbridge Army Cadets took part in activities at the Queen Elizabeth barracks in Strensall, York.

They had to pass subjects like drill and turnout and weapon handling tests in freezing cold conditions.

These count towards their Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and eventually a BTEC qualification.

The cadets are now looking forward to their next camp in April.

This will include shooting, field battle drills and expeditions.
