YOUNGSTERS scored a cash boost for their own school – and Town hero Andy Booth helped celebrate their success when he visited them (see picture above).
The club ambassador presented Lindley Junior School with a cash back cheque for £102. This came after the recent Schools Focus match against Cardiff City.
The George Street school sold the most match tickets on a pro-rata basis for the game against the league leaders.
Just over £2,000 was given back to schools involved in the scheme. A total of 1,424 tickets were sold through schools.
This took the number of children attending the Schools Focus matches this season above 5,000.
There is another of these matches left this season, when Town take on Peterborough United this Saturday.
The aim of the partnership is to provide schools with assistance through the cash back scheme, pupil rewards, player visits and more.
