THE story about Kirklees Council’s former interim director of resources seems to just run and run.

The Examiner revealed Julie Alderson had claimed £4,800 in expenses during her four-month stint in the role and it now turns out she went for the job permanently, but was unsuccessful.

She has gone on the social networking site Facebook and publicly criticised the successful candidate.

She is now earning £16,300 a month at Harrow Council in London and has labelled that role as “second best.’’

Many readers will be surprised that someone who was in temporary charge of drawing up the plans to cut Kirklees Council’s budget by millions of pounds should be so indiscreet.

And it also once again shows the dangers of the internet. Once comments are out, you can’t stop them or the consequences.
