CHILDREN from Upperthong Junior and Infant School worked with Konflux Theatre Group during the school’s art week.

The school organised a huge variety of activities for children as part of the event aimed at promoting all forms of the arts in school.

Hepworth-based artist Mick Kirby-Geddes, who uses everyday objects and pieces of scrap metal to create sculptures, paid a visit to school.

There were also visits from Kirklees Energise and Bollywood dancers.

African drummers and Aboriginal art forms also came under the spotlight during the week.
