WHY on earth did Jake end up in court? Your report (Feb 9) says that he “threatened” to stab a football. Not a football player; just a ball!

If one of his ‘victims’ had stolen something from him or vandalised his car you can be sure they would have been let off with a caution. For merely “frightening” some boys he ends up in court.

Maybe there was a little more to the incident than your report indicated, but it seems the hooligans were the winners as usual. Is it to do with the police ‘targets’ issue or what? Your report calls Jake eccentric. I say he is not half as eccentric as the topsy-turvy application of the law in this and far too many other instances.
