BACK in 1992 I did a Jonathan Ross series with roving reporter Fiona Armstrong.
This televisual tour of the outlandish called Fantastic Facts! featured fainting goats and snails that paint in oils – all of them strange but true.
Among the many devices and inventions I showed was the double overcoat (shown left)
I still have it and was thinking that now Jonathan was unemployed and in reduced circumstances I would give it to him.
He could find it a comfort in this cold weather if he could find a friend to accompany him.
