Yetton Together’s coffee shop launched

Thirty customers came to opening weekend

Volunteers enjoy helping run the new cafe - Yetty's Coffee Shop at the Community Centre in Fields Rise.

Yetton Together’s coffee shop has been launched.

The first weekend in May saw the launch of Yetton Together’s new venture — Yetty’s Coffee Shop.

Homemade cakes, scones and fresh coffee were some of the things on offer in the Community Centre at Fields Rise.

Around 30 customers came on the opening weekend.

“It’s an encouraging start”, said Yetton Together’s chairman Trish Mellor: “Many people have been asking for a community cafe for such a long time — it was a key proposal of the Community Plan, so it’s great that we’ve now got enough volunteers to get it started.

“We hope to create a space in the centre of the village where people can meet for a chat, socialise and even play dominoes or other board games.

“We are starting small, but with the village’s support we will be able to expand in the future.”
