It could be yours for less than the price of a pint!
Leasing agent Keith Vear said: "We have had a few responses to the advert.
"It won't suit everyone, but a number of people are asking about it and I will be contacting them again in the next few days.
"The Armitage is a local pub with a bar, a pool table, a pool team - and a lot of potential."
He said: "It needs someone with a lot of enthusiasm. It would be an ideal first pub for someone wanting to learn the ropes."
The Armitage was bought by Staffordshire-based pub group Punch Taverns in 1999 when Fixtures &Fittinns took the lease.
The pub, then called The Armitage Arms, hit the headlines when regulars protested at plans to rename it The Cask &Cotton.
More than 100 local people signed a petition objecting to the name change - because of its reference to the Lancashire textile trade in a village proud of its wool textile roots.
The pub was re-opened as The Armitage in July, 1999, after a £90,000 facelift which included a new roof and floor.
