Dentist denies sex attack on teenage patient

He moved his hands up over her chest and started to rub her chest while she sat there disorientated by the gas and oxygen.

"He then touched her arm, stomach and chest again, but she said she was too scared to do anything about it."

It is then claimed that after his victim had come round, Zaman put his hand and arm around her waist while showing her X-rays of her teeth.

After the incident, which had lasted around 35 minutes, the distraught teenager then left to go to her part-time job but told her boss what had happened and the police were called.

Mr Newbury argued that during the course of the five-day trial he would prove Zaman had acted completely "unprofessionally and inappropriately" to lure his vulnerable victim so he could "try her out and test her out" to see if she would respond to his advances.

He also claimed that Zaman had lied to his dental nurse and receptionist to make sure she would not be at the surgery at the time of the assault, so he could abuse his position without anyone else finding out.

The case continues.
