TWO masked men burst into a Birkby home and threatened four people with a gun. The intruders used a hammer to smash part of a glass door at the house on Birkby Road at 11pm last night. They then dropped the hammer as they went in, but held four people aged between 28 and 69 at gunpoint while one searched rooms. It is not clear what, if anything, was stolen. POLICE have appealed for witnesses to a fight involving two women in Huddersfield town centre. The fracas happened in St George’s Square close to Station Street at 5.30pm on Monday, November 12. A 17-year-old girl was slightly hurt. Police arrested a woman who has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
