Teen trio try to rob driver

THREE teenagers tried to rob a taxi driver at Almondbury.

The incident happened at 7.45pm on Wednesday on Fernside Avenue.

The driver was threatened by the trio, who demanded cash. One of them had a weapon, possibly a handgun. They got away empty-handed.

All three were white males, one aged 12 to 15, another aged around 16 and the third was 13-years-old.

The first suspect was around 4ft 5ins tall, wearing a grey hooded tracksuit top and grey bottoms. It was he who had the weapon.

The second suspect was around 5ft tall, of slim build and wore a knee-length brown coat with a hood. The third suspect was 4ft 7ins tall and wore a black hooded tracksuit.
