Council wins prize

KIRKLEES Council has won a national award for excellence in public service.

The council won the Best Service Team Award at the Association for Public Service Excellence Awards, which took place in Gateshead.

The awards, attended by 700 people, recognise excellent service by local government. Kirklees Council was presented with its award by recruitment consultants Hays Construction and Property, who sponsor the ceremony.
