Man, 86, dies of injuries

AN 86-YEAR-OLD man hurt in a hit and run in Roberttown, has died of his injuries.

The man – who has not been named – was hit by a white Renault Clio on Child Lane on December 12. He died on Christmas Eve.

The driver failed to stop at the scene. He drove on Church Road where he hit a Mercedes.

A 26-year-old Dewsbury man has been arrested and released on police bail.
