ONE in five Yorkshire people look set to book a holiday within the next few weeks.
Nearly 12m people are set to beat the post-Christmas gloom by booking a holiday between now and the end of February, it was revealed today.
And 14% of those looking to get away intend to spend more than £1,000 per person for their trips, says a survey from Sainsbury’s Finance.
As many as 23% of the early bookings are likely to be made in the next few days, with people spending an average of £655 per person.
Londoners (31%) are most likely to get in on the early booking act, followed by those in northern England (28%).
Scots – possibly waiting for better bargains later – are least likely to be booking now, with only 17% intending to buy a break by the end of February.
