Inquest opens on Joseph

AN inquest has opened into the death of Holmfirth man Joseph Keever.

The inquest, at Bradford Coroner’s Court, was adjourned while police investigations continue into the 27-year-old’s death.

Mr Keever, who was born in Edinburgh, died at 10pm on December 16 at Leeds General Infirmary.

A post-mortem showed the cause of death was head injuries sustained during an incident outside the Shoulder of Mutton pub in Holmfirth on December 15.

A 26-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with Mr Keever’s death.
