THE Huddersfield branch of home and garden retailer Wilkinson has launched a new food range.
The new range, launched at the New Street store today, includes a variety of goods, such as tinned and chilled foods, bread, milk, tea and coffee.
Essentials for lunch time shoppers are also available, including ready made sandwiches, salads and drinks.
The new food range, which has already been successfully launched in other stores across the country, will mean that customers will now be able to do much of their shopping under one roof.
To celebrate today’s launch, free balloons and sweets will be on offer for the children.
Darren Greensmith, who manages the Huddersfield store, said: “This is a really exciting development for us and all our customers.
“ The new food range will include an extensive variety of daily fresh bread and milk, as well as tinned food, chilled food, cereals, tea, coffee, ready meals and much more.
“We are sure that customers and customers that haven’t tried us before will love the changes as they will be able to continue to by their usual shopping list from Wilkinson with the added benefit of topping up on those store cupboard food essentials.”
Wilkinson, which is one of the fastest growing retailers in the UK, has launched a nationwide expansion programme and aims to increases the number of stores from 290 to 500 stores across the country by the year 2012.
