Freemasons buy wheelchair

ORGANISERS of a transport scheme for disabled and elderly people in the Holme Valley have been presented with £270 by Freemasons to buy a new wheelchair.

The cheque was presented to Holme Valley Transport Scheme, which is based at Honley surgery.

It ferries disabled and frail elderly people to and from appointments at the surgery at Marsh Gardens.

The money was provided by the Freemasons’ West Yorkshire Provincial Grand Master’s Fund.

It was presented to transport scheme development manager Helen Kitchen by charity member George Callaghan and Eddie Holling, Worshipful Master of the Brooke Lodge, Kirkburton.
