Posters fight abuse

A CHARITY is urging Huddersfield people to think small to help put a stop to child abuse.
The NSPCC’s new campaign, Be the Full Stop, urges people to download free copies of a new poster.
It then wants people to display them in places such as schools, doctors’ surgeries or shop notice-boards in order to help end cruelty to children.
The idea is that by just taking small actions everyone can help the NSPCC to end child abuse.
The poster includes information about NSPCC helplines and could provide contact information to someone who has concerns about a child’s well-being.
It could even be the lifeline that a child suffering abuse reaches out to for help.
The charity runs 180 projects and services throughout the UK, helping 10,000 children and their families every year.
Posters can be downloaded from www.bethefullstop.com and clicking on to the local campaigning deed. The website also provides 18 other deeds which people can do to help end cruelty to children.
