Woman, 75, on assault charge

A WOMAN of 75 has been charged with assault and criminal damage.
Jean Clough, of Heys Road, Thongsbridge, is charged with alleged offences relating to an incident last November 26 in Holmfirth.
Appearing before a district judge at Huddersfield Magistrates’ Court yesterday Clough indicated that her plea would be not guilty to both charges. The case was adjourned and her trial is due to take place on March 11.
She was released on unconditional bail.
