Bullying thug robs girl

A BULLYING thug robbed a girl of 13 by standing on her feet to stop her escaping.

She was walking along Wakefield Road in Denby Dale at 10.30pm on Saturday when the thief began to follow her.

He asked to use her mobile phone, then pushed her into a bus shelter.

He stood on her feet, stole the phone from her waistband and left.

His victim suffered bruised ankles.

Det Con Russ Conlon, of Kirklees CID intelligence unit, said: “This was a bullying, frightening attack on a young victim.’’

The mugger is white, aged about 20 and 5ft 7in tall.

He was stocky and had brown eyes.

He wore black tracksuit bottoms with two white lines down the sides and a blue hooded top with a Nike tick on the left side of the chest.

He also wore a black baseball cap with a black scarf across his mouth and nose.
