MOOR End Technology College has received a prestigious national award at a ceremony in London.
The Crosland Moor college was awarded its Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Mark certificate at the BETT Show, the world’s leading educational ICT event.
The award is linked to an online review tool called the Self-review Framework, which helps schools gather evidence about how they use ICT in learning and teaching and within the management of the school.
Teachers are expected to have gained suitable skills and understanding to improve learning and teaching where ICT is being used.
Headteacher Ms Jane Acklam said: “The school was delighted to be presented with such a prestigious national award in recognition of our active use of ICT.
“ICT is central to the learning and teaching culture at Moor End Technology College and our vision is to develop e-confident learners in an e-confident school.”
