TWENTY-nine children aged between 12 and 17 were invited to the Army Cadet Centre at Huddersfield.
The invite came from Capt Tony Bradley, from the Army Cadet Force.
The children, from the Jubilee Centre Youth Club in Paddock, were given an insight into life as an army cadet.
Various activities and team-building exercises were on offer.
The Army Youth Team, which is based in Batley, provided the manpower and electronic training equipment.
The youngsters were given an introduction to basic drill and command tasks, which demand lateral thinking, leadership skills and teamwork.
